Clinical Trainee Internships & Practicum Placements
The Clinical Interniship and Practicum Placement Program is an intergral part of our work. We enroll doctoral students of Psychology into the Internship Program for six months and Graduate and Undergraduate Students of Psychology into the Practicum Program for three months. Interviews are initially conducted to determine trainee suitability for the program.

Students are attached to a clinical supervisor at a Supervisor-trainee ration of 1:3. The supervisor is responsible for their training, development and support throughout the Internship and placement period. We encourage a reflective approach both for the trainee and the process of Psychotherapy. Regular tests are arranged to assess trainee progress.

In the first month of placement, graduate trainees undergo an intense period of self reflective evaluation and feedback with their supervisor, skills assessment and academic evaluation. The second month of the training period focusses on client scheduling and bills, records management and client preparation. The third month involves direct patient work with intense regular supervision. Undergraduate trainees may not directly handle patients treatment but they are closely involved in research, patient preparation and administrative management of the clinic.
